The Investment Promotion Agency (API), in partnership with the Association des Maires du Congo (AMC) and the Association Internationale des Maires Francophones (AIMF), organised a training session in Brazzaville on 18 June 2024 on the theme of "Invest in Diaspora". The session was attended by representatives of Congo's town halls (including Brazzaville, Pointe Noire, Ouesso and Kinkala) and executives from the private sector and the Congolese administration.

The training session was held under the patronage of the Minister for Industrial Development and the Promotion of the Private Sector.

Mr Samir Bouzidi, an expert in diaspora profiling, presented the study on the Congolese diaspora, which provides an insight into the professions of Congolese living abroad, as well as their location and needs.

This will enable the Investment Promotion Agency (API) to put in place and implement a proactive strategy to promote diaspora investment in the Congo.
