Ms Annick Patricia Mongo, Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency (API), took part in the International Africa Development Forum (FIAD 2024) held in Casablanca, Morocco, from 27 to 28 June 2024 under the theme ‘Here we invest’.

At the initiative of the pan-African investment fund Al Mada, a major shareholder in the Attijariwafa bank group, the International Africa Development Forum (FIAD) is a key event on the African continent, providing a genuine platform for bringing together economic players, investors and political decision-makers.

Why invest in the Congo? This was the focus of the country presentations, which provided an opportunity for the Congo (represented by Mr Antoine Thomas Nicephore Fylla De Saint-Eudes, Minister in charge of promoting the private sector, and by Ms Annick Patricia MONGO, Managing Director of the API) to showcase its portfolio of ambitious projects and structuring projects to attract investors.

The Congo stand set up by API during the forum was visited by several investors and other guests who came for the occasion.

At the end of the intense work of this 7th edition of the International Forum on African Development (FIAD 2024), two young Congolese entrepreneurs stood out among several other young people of different nationalities by receiving the trophy for the first prize for young African entrepreneurs from Mr Henri DIÉLÉ (Managing Director of CONGO-PLAST/Environnement ) and the trophy for the jury's favourite from Mrs Andress Paulinestie Bellina LOEMBA (CEO of GAZ TECH/ Energie ).

It is important to note that these encouragement trophies aim to reinforce the dynamism of young African entrepreneurs in order to offer them greater visibility on the African market.
