Call for projects!
The Investment Promotion Agency (API) informs all Congolese entrepreneurs of the launch by BlueInvest Africa of the call for projects to select 30 African companies wishing to develop in the blue economy and who will participate from 03 to 04 July 2024 in Kenya in the second edition "BlueInvest Africa 2024".

The call for projects is aimed at companies established in Africa, officially registered and already active in one or more sectors of the blue economy. Projects submitted to the BlueInvest Africa selection committee must be developed or under development. They must be part of a blue economy sector and aim to be deployed in one or more African countries. They must also incorporate sustainability objectives in terms of production, implementation and life cycle.

The blue economy refers to all sustainable economic activities that take place in marine or inland water environments, whether these activities are traditional, such as fishing, tourism and transport, or innovative, such as biotechnology, aquaculture and renewable energies.

This major business event, BlueInvest Africa, initiated and organised since 2022 by the European Commission, aims to enable African entrepreneurs seeking financing and international investors looking for opportunities to meet around projects likely to boost Africa's blue economy.

Each company selected will have to appoint a representative or pitcher to present its project in a dynamic and convincing manner. The organisation of the "BlueInvest Africa 2024" event will cover the travel and accommodation expenses of this representative, who will also receive coaching to ensure the quality, effectiveness and appeal of his or her presentation. The best presentation will be awarded a prize at the closing ceremony of the event.
