The Minister of Industrial Development, Special Economic Zones, and Private Sector Promotion, Michel DJOMBO, carried out a working visit this Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to the headquarters of the Investment Promotion Agency (API). This visit is part of his initial outreach to the strategic structures under the authority of his ministry.

During this visit, the Minister engaged with API executives and staff to gain an in-depth understanding of the institution's operations, ongoing projects, and the challenges related to investment attractiveness in the Republic of Congo. A working session was subsequently held with Ms. Annick Patricia MONGO, Director General of the API, focusing in particular on the various missions of the API, the work already accomplished and currently underway, and the mechanisms for promoting private investment.

The Minister intends to revitalize the API's actions in order to attract a greater number of investors to Congo, in line with the national development plan of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Denis Sassou NGUESSO.
