On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency (API-Congo), Ms. Annick Patricia MONGO, received His Excellency Mr. Mziwamadoda Uppington KALAKO, Ambassador of South Africa to the Republic of Congo. This meeting is part of the effort to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.

During this working session, His Excellency Mr. Mziwamadoda Uppington KALAKO expressed his desire to strengthen the partnership between the South African Embassy and API-Congo. The objective is to encourage South African investors to explore investment opportunities in Congo, while creating the necessary conditions for Congolese entrepreneurs to also invest in South Africa.

The discussions highlighted several key sectors likely to attract South African investors to Congo, particularly mining, aquaculture, fishing, tourism, and agriculture.

Ms. Annick Patricia MONGO reaffirmed API-Congo's willingness to work closely with the South African Embassy on subjects of common interest, in order to strengthen economic exchanges and promote a climate conducive to investments between the two countries.
