PARTICIPATION BY THE INVESTMENT PROMOTION AGENCY (API) IN THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN A DELEGATION FROM THE CHINESE PROVINCE OF JIANGSU AND THE CONGOLESE AUTHORITIES

Organised by the Ministry of International Cooperation and the Promotion of Public-Private Partnership, the dialogue between the delegation from the Chinese province of Jiangsu and the Congolese authorities, which took place on Wednesday 22 February 2024 in Brazzaville, provided an opportunity for Mr Martin Galissan, Director of Studies and Research at API, on the instructions of Mrs Annick Patricia Mongo, Managing Director of API on a mission, to present the investment opportunities offered by the Congo in the priority sectors. Martin Galissan, API's Director of Studies and Research, on the instructions of Mrs Annick Patricia Mongo, API's Director General on a mission, presented the investment opportunities offered by the Congo in the priority sectors of the 2022-2026 National Development Plan; several projects seeking technical and financial partnerships; the tax and customs advantages available to investors in the Congo; the significant progress made by the Congo in improving the business climate and the level of trade between China and the Congo.

The meeting, which marked an important milestone in Sino-Congolese diplomatic relations, which will reach 60 years in 2024, was attended by the Minister for International Cooperation, H.E. Dénis Christel Sassou Nguesso, the Chinese Ambassador to the Congo, H.E. Li Yan, representatives of a number of public administrations and several Congolese and Chinese businessmen.
